Visiting for the First Time?
Whether you’ve been going to church for years or you’re not sure what you believe anymore, you’re welcome here. We know visiting a church for the first time can feel like a lot, so here’s what to expect.
What do I wear?
You’ll see everything from jeans and sweaters to dresses and button-ups here. Some people dress up. Some people don’t. There’s no expectation either way. Wear what makes you feel comfortable.
Where do I park?
NEED INFO ABOUT PARKING.
What is the service like?
Our worship follows a Lutheran pattern of Word and Sacrament, shaped by Scripture, prayer, music, and a sermon that connects faith to everyday life. Some parts of the service are spoken together, some are sung, and some are simply listened to. You’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you’re comfortable.
You’ll find moments of reverence and quiet, along with warmth and grace. We believe worship is something we do together, not something you have to perform. If you’d rather sit and take it all in, that’s completely okay.
Do you offer communion?
We celebrate communion regularly, and all are welcome at the table. You don’t need to be a member, and you don’t need to have everything figured out. If you’d rather not receive communion, that’s okay too. You can remain seated or come forward for a blessing instead.
Is your congregation accessible?

What if I want to bring my little one?
They’re absolutely welcome. We understand that children sometimes make noise or like to move around. They’re not a disruption. They belong here just as much as you do. Occasionally, we offer a children’s sermon as well.
What happens after the service?
Some people stay to chat and catch up. Some head straight out. Both are completely fine. If you’d like to learn more, feel free to ask someone nearby and they’ll point you in the right direction.
